Sykes wins English Junior Title

Sykes claimed his second English Junior Tour title of the season, extending his impressive run to six wins in the last eight events. The two-day tournament saw 46 players compete for 12 spots in the final stage, where they joined eight seeded players. On Day 1, Llewellyn was flawless, defeating Li, Smith, and Champion-Davies without dropping a frame. Westley Cooper set the highest break of 108, which was surpassed by Daniel Boyes' 126. Sykes advanced to the final after dropping only three frames, defeating Shaun Liu and Vladislav Gradinari. In the final, he overcame Llewellyn 3-1 with breaks of 114, 42, and 43.

Steadman wins English Seniors Title

Craig Steadman defeated Mark Joyce 4-2 in the final of the latest English Seniors Tour event at Landywood Snooker Club in Walsall. The European Seniors champion continued his strong form, dropping just six frames across the tournament. A field of 68 players competed, including World Seniors Snooker number one Dharminder Lilly and several former professionals. Ten century breaks were made, with Joyce posting the highest at 139. Steadman, fresh off victories in Portugal and a WPBSA Q Tour final, lost only three frames in his run to the final. He sealed the win with breaks of 71 and 52 to claim his first English Seniors Tour title of the season.

Xu Si made a brilliant 147 break during his 6-2 victory over Ryan Day at the International Championship in Nanjing. The break, achieved in the sixth frame, marks the second 147 of Xu’s career and puts him in contention for the £5,000 high break prize. This is Xu’s second perfect break within a year, following his 147 in the 2023 UK Championship qualifiers. His achievement brings the total number of 147 breaks in professional snooker to 207, with five occurring so far this season.
