Hawkins Claims Fifth Ranking Title

Barry Hawkins secured the fifth ranking title of his career with a 9-5 victory over Jack Lisowski in the final of the BetVictor Welsh Open in Llandudno, winning the Ray Reardon Trophy and £100,000. Hawkins dominated early to lead 7-1 and, despite a spirited fightback from Lisowski, held firm to clinch the win. The 46-year-old ended a title drought since his 2023 European Masters triumph and moved up the rankings as a result. Lisowski, though runner-up, earned bonus prize money from his strong Home Nations Series performance.

Hugill Wins Landywood Q Tour Title

Ashley Hugill claimed victory at the seventh WPBSA Q Tour Europe event of the 2025/26 season, defeating Alfie Davies 4–2 at the Landywood Snooker Club. The English cueist secured his first Q Tour title and a spot in the upcoming Global Play-Offs. Hugill overcame several tough opponents to reach the final and, after a competitive start from Davies, closed out the match to lift the trophy. The win comes as former professional Jamie Clarke sealed the Q Tour Europe rankings title and a two-year World Snooker Tour card.
