Dalitz wins 2025 Ian Chappel Snooker Classics in Sydney Australia
Congratulations to Shaun Dalitz, the 2025 Champion, with a dominant 4-0 win over Vinnie Calabrese. A brief chance in frame three saw Vinnie clear 51 to force a respot, but Shaun responded with a brilliant long black. He then crafted a classy 46 in frame four before both players exchanged errors, with Shaun ultimately sealing victory. Despite Vinnie’s strong season, Shaun was exceptional. The 94-player field included top talent from around Australia. Notable efforts came from Joe Minici, Tony Davies, and promising juniors like Max Handley and Levi Coe. Highlights included Shaun’s 133 and 106, Vinnie’s 132, and Hassan’s 109.
More Tour cards secured at Q School
David Grace, Ian Burns, Connor Benzey, and Fergal Quinn earned tour cards on the final day of Q School Event Two in Leicester. Grace returned to the tour with a 4-0 win over Jack Borwick, bouncing back after relegation last season. Burns overcame Andrew Pagett 4-1, using his experience to hold his nerve. Quinn, after years of near-misses, defeated Dean Young 4-1 to claim his first-ever card. Benzey fought back from 2-0 down to beat Rodion Judin 4-2, fulfilling a long-held dream. All four players showed determination, resilience, and composure under pressure to secure their places on the professional circuit.
