Changezi Clinches Colorado Crown

Houston's Shahram Changezi won Event 2 of the 2026 USSA National Tour, taking the Wiraka Colorado Snooker Open in Boulder, Colorado. Changezi swept through the group stage with three 3-0 wins before defeating Ray McCarthy and Ernst Bezemer to reach the semis. He then overcame six-time US champion Ahmed Aly Elsayed 4-1. The final against Seattle champion Andy McCloskey went to a nail-biting decider, with neither player ever more than one frame ahead. Changezi sealed the title 5-4 with a crucial break of 54 in the deciding frame.

Four Earn Tour Cards at Q School Event Two

Andrew Higginson, Mitchell Mann, Stuart Carrington and Gong Chenzhi all came through the final round of Q School Event Two in Leicester to secure two-year professional tour cards. Higginson, 49, beat old rival Mark Joyce 4-1 on his return after a season away. Mann kept his professional status by defeating Allan Taylor 4-2 despite earlier first-event disappointment. Carrington overcame a painful neck injury to beat Yaron Bodor 4-1 and regain his card. Teenager Gong Chenzhi defeated Brian Ochoiski 4-2 to reclaim his place on the World Snooker Tour..
