Players produced standout performances, memorable finals and impressive breaks, while the tournament’s success reinforced Hull’s reputation as a key venue on the disability snooker calendar
Channoi Makes History with Maiden World Title at Just 18
Thailand’s Panchaya Channoi announced herself as snooker’s newest star after defeating 12-time champion Reanne Evans 6-2 to win the 2026 World Women’s Snooker Championship in China. The 18-year-old claimed her first ranking title in stunning fashion, becoming the youngest world champion since 1987 and only the 16th player to lift the prestigious Mandy Fisher Trophy. Channoi’s route to glory included victories over reigning champion Bai Yulu, former world champion Mink Wongharuthai and Evans. She also produced two century breaks in the final, including a tournament-high 107, earning a two-year professional World Snooker Tour card.
