Womersley Wins Open Series Play-Off

Daniel Womersley claimed the 2026 EPSB Open Series play-off title with a 3–1 victory over former professional Peter Devlin in Bristol. The 34-year-old topped a 16-player field drawn from the season’s rankings, having already won one of the 24 Open Series events. Womersley produced dominant performances throughout, including whitewash wins over Sean Maddocks and Hamim Hussain, before overcoming Devlin in the final. The win secures him a paid entry to Q School, where he will aim to earn a first World Snooker Tour card

Liu Defends National Under-16 Title

Shaun Liu successfully defended his English Under-16 Championship title with a commanding 4–0 win over Nicholas Ayers at Landywood. The 15-year-old dropped just seven frames across eight matches, showcasing dominance throughout the event. After cruising through the group stage without losing a frame, Liu faced tougher challenges in the knockout rounds, including deciding-frame victories in the quarter-finals and semi-finals. In the final, breaks of 95 and 89 helped seal a convincing victory, confirming his status as the leading player in his age group
