Kerde wins 2025 Asia-Pacific Seniors Snooker Championship
Australia's Hassan Kerde claimed a 4-2 victory over Matthew Scarborough in the 2025 Asia-Pacific Seniors Snooker Championship final, securing a spot at the World Seniors Snooker Championship in May. The 41-year-old will compete at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield, joining continental champions Craig Steadman (Europe), Fabio Anderson Luersen (Americas), and Charl Jonck (Africa). A field of 43 players competed at Club Forster in New South Wales, Australia, with Kerde impressing in the group stage. Breaks of 63, 80, and 45 helped him reach the final, where he clinched victory with a 75-32 win in the sixth frame.
Highfield wins Q Tour Crown
Liam Highfield defeated Dylan Emery 4-3 to win the seventh and final WPBSA Q Tour Europe event of the season at Landywood Snooker Club in Walsall, England. The victory marks Highfield's first Q Tour title and guarantees his place at the Q Tour Global Play-Offs in Turkey next month, where three World Snooker Tour cards are on offer. Highfield, aiming for a return to the professional circuit, defeated former professional Craig Steadman and Ryan Davies before clinching his spot in the final. In a dramatic title match, Highfield sealed his win with a 91 clearance in the decider.
