Aaron Canavan secured his place at the upcoming World Seniors Snooker Championship after winning the eighth World Seniors Tour event of the season in Reading. The former world champion defeated Gerard Greene 4–2 in the final to claim the title and strengthen his position in the Race to the Crucible rankings.
Canavan produced a strong run through the tournament, defeating several experienced opponents to reach the final before overcoming Greene in the decisive match.
The victory not only earned him another seniors title but also confirmed his qualification for the prestigious World Seniors Snooker Championship at the Crucible Theatre, where he will aim to add another major honour to his career
Kazakov Regains Professional Status with European Under-21 Glory
Anton Kazakov secured a return to the professional ranks after winning the 2026 European Under-21 Snooker Championship in Gandia, Spain. The Ukrainian defeated Riley Powell 5–3 in the final to claim the title and earn a two-year tour card on the World Snooker Tour.
Kazakov showed strong form throughout the tournament, progressing through the knockout stages before meeting Powell in the final. After falling 2–0 behind early in the match, he rallied impressively to take control and win the deciding frames to seal victory.
The triumph marks a major milestone in Kazakov’s career and secures his return to the professional circuit for the 2026/27 season
