Abbas Under-14 Champion

Adam Abbas won the 2025 PowerGlide English Under-14 Championship at Landywood Snooker Club in Walsall, defeating Hon Zhong 4-1. The 12-year-old displayed impressive form, including a top break of 55 and two additional breaks over 30, securing his first-ever title. Abbas joined a distinguished list of previous champions like Ben Woollaston and Sam Craigie. After qualifying at the Castle Snooker Club in Brighton, he defeated Matthew Jameson 2-0 in the Stage Two final in Reading. Despite Hon's strong start, Abbas regained control with breaks of 39 and 44, closing out the match with the highest break of the final.

Richardson English Amateur Snooker Champion

Zachary Richardson claimed the prestigious Landywood English Amateur Snooker Championship with a 6-2 win over Antony Parsons at Landywood Snooker Club. The 38-year-old from Brighton joined a select group of past champions, including Ray Reardon and Jimmy White, marking the pinnacle of his career. Richardson's path to the title included victories over Matthew Atasoy, Jasmine Bolsover, and Nigel Clarke in the earlier rounds. In the final, he dominated after a close start, using breaks of 63, 89, and 74 to secure the win. Richardson now hopes to fulfill his dream of joining the World Snooker Tour, supported by his family and partner.
